“The Best Color in the World is the One that Looks Good on You!” – Coco Chanel

Hello Fashionistas! So you may recall Part 1 of the Best Color post where I spoke about having a colorful wardrobe and gave suggestions on what shades of colors would look best on certain undertones of your skin. Well now it is fall season! So this means you take all that stuff I spoke about before and throw it away because during the fall you only were plums, reds, oranges, olive greens, blacks, neutrals and plaids, right? WRONG! Who says that a person cannot have a colorful wardrobe throughout the year including fall/winter seasons!?! There is not such a rule and if there is- I am not following the crowd and I will continue to be me! Fall time period you should not feel limited in your color choices and style. In this post, I will speak about having a colorful during the fall season too. I know this is something that is different that you have been seeing in other blog posts and on Instagram but it can be done. Photography was taken by the awesome Megan Weaver www.megan-weaver.com!

I have collaborated with StyleWe, an online clothing company that sells beautiful unique clothing online. There are so many talented designers that they feature on their website. There was one designer in particular that stood out for me – KK2! Her designs are very unique speaks “FOREIGN FRESH & FIERCE” style. I have the geometric designs and color blocks that her pieces includes. I chose this mini dress – yes you read correctly, this top is actually a mini dress. As all tall people can relate, our #tallgirlsituations is determining if something is dress or top! When I saw this mini dress I loved it due to its style. I looked at the sizing and knew this would be pretty short with my long legs, but I did not let it stop me from ordering it. I know with leggings or leather pants I could still rock this dress and no one would know any different.

The material of this top is very unique too. It’s very stretchy with a sateen giving it a futuristic look. The way it is made, it holds it’s flared out position at the bottom which I love. This dress is $66 but now 30% off and on sale for $46I styled this with some round silver earrings. With the bold pink triangles on this dress, I thought to keep the geometric feel with some big circle earrings from H&M and silver bracelets that I got from H&M, faux leather pants from H&M as well and Steve Madden booties as well. I wanted an extra pop of color and so I added a leather yellow purse. This Italian leather purse was a gift from Italy! I think this combo gives it a cool look and still looks fall.

When thinking about your fall pieces, you can add a pop of color whether it is an accessory such as a purse or a top. I am not stating that you should not wear the traditional fall colors, but definitely mix it up a bit. It can be so easy and fun to “brighten up” your fall style. I love fall colors but after awhile, it can seem a bit dull and to add a POP of excitement from time to time is always FUN! I have seen a lot of colorful pieces at the stores so you have some variety to place with from purses to earrings to tops and scarves. Trying playing around with different color combinations!
