“Elegance is Good Taste Plus a Dash of Daring!” ~ Carmel Show
Spring is upon us for most and will soon be here for others! Here in Texas it has been spring and winter every other week if not every other day. LOL So it is already time to transition into spring. So what does it mean to transition? When you transition your wardrobe, you will slowly stop transition out of the hard core winter pieces to spring pieces. It does not necessarily mean you cannot wear anything “winter related” but it is taking some winter pieces or winter elements and making them spring appropriate. One thing when I think of spring, I think of bright colors! I tend to wear color all year round but most fall/winter pieces are darker, mute tones such as browns, beiges and blacks. Adding a pop of color is a great way to transition your wardrobe – whether in accessories such as earrings or a purse or a top or bottom.
In this in between stage, sometimes it is hard to judge the weather too. It may be hot during the day and then cool off in the evening especially if it is windy! I will be discussing some chic ways and pieces to transition your wardrobe. The feature pieces you can find at Sammy Dress Fashions which carry fashionable cute items for reasonable prices. One of my favorite sweaters is this Fuzzy Twisted Back Chenille sweater in teal blue! It is sooo soft! I have gotten so many comments on it already! It keeps my arms and front warm but cool enough because the back is open a bit. I like this sweater because you can wear a normal bra and strapless. I tried it with both and my straps did not show if you position it right and of course you can wear a strapless bra as well. This sweater also comes in black, reddish color, grey and white so definitely check out the site and is less than $17.00. The sweater is not a midriff per-say but it does not come to the hip. It comes right at my belly button – so just a tad lower than what a midriff would fall.
I styled this sweater with my Coach Saddlebag which comes in many colors and my favorite pair of Charlotte Russe high waist pants! As you know I love mixing up colors and I thought these two colors looked great with each other. For the shoes, I styled them with caged heels from Agaci! I love caged style heels – they are so chic and usually are pretty comfortable! These pair are sold out but here is one that is similar!
Another way to transition into spring is to wear a light sweater! Sammy Dress Fashions carry many light sweaters and this one is one of my favorite styles – bat sleeve! The sleeves area near the armpit is big and loose just like a batwing. This Round Neck Bat Sleeve Sweater is only $14.00 and it comes different colors such as green, mango and yellow! I love that this sweater has a nice sheen to it so it not just your simple mudane sweater. You can easily style this with shorts or jeans. I wore my with my dark denim jeans from Charlotte Russe. My new sunnies I absolutely love from Sunglass Spot are only $5.00. You can get the Tortoise Rose Gold pentagon frames here! The clutch I also received from Sammy Dress Fashion but the are sold out. You can get similar envelope clutch from Rebecca Minkoff here for $95 or this clutch at Nordstrom for only $29!!
These Chase and Chloe shoes are my FAVORITES!!! The are so colorful and fun and great for both winter and spring! Pom Poms are definitely still in going into the spring this seasons and you can find a few of my favorite pom poms below as well! The ones I am wearing I got in store at ShuDeal. they have locations in Dallas and Houston! There are various of pom pom styles from the t-strap to over the toe.
I hope this gives you some ideas on how you can transition your wardrobe from winter to Spring! Stay tuned for some more Spring looks!
