“And the Nomination goes to… Foreign Fresh & Fierce Style blog”

Today, I am excited to share with you that have been nominated for my very first blogger award, the  Liebster Award!

For those of you who are not familiar with the Liebster Award, it is an award given by bloggers for bloggers and their wonderful blogs! I feel very honored to receive this award for my blog! I put a lot of heart, time and effort in it so it always feels good to know that I am receiving recognition from someone who appreciated it too! I was nominated by the lovely Naadia of naadiacrutchfield.com. Thank you Naadia!

To accept the nomination I have to answer a few questions from Naadia! So here we go…

1. Why did you start blogging?

I had always wanted to blog about fashion! I get compliments a lot on my fashion style and many are surprised how affordable my clothing are. Due to the style and how I put things together, everyone automatically thinks I shop name brand and spend a lot of money. In fact, I am quite the opposite. I usually shop sales and look for coupons and most of my items are under $50. I wanted to share my fashion styles with everyone else at the same time empowering women and girls to be confident with what you wear and don’t worry if what you buy is not name brand or expensive. I have a campaign that I am working on in regards to this very subject. Details soon!

2. How do you keep your content original and interesting?

I have always been a creative person and my mind is constantly creating and designing. I am all about being different and standing out. When I began working on my blog, I read many different blogs of other bloggers. Not to copy them but to see what they were doing and be sure I am not doing the same thing. I want my blog to be something different and not just another blogger. So I just let my creative mind run wild and see where it takes me.

3. What/who inspires you?

When I first got my fashion Instagram account, Grace from Color & Grace began to follow me. I was quite surprised because I felt I was a nobody with very few followers and my photos were not all that great in comparison to hers, but she kept following me and commented and liked my pictures. I loved her content and page! Following her IG, reading her blog and her personal words of encouragement to me gave me the boost I needed to continue to pursue with my goal in being a fashion blogger. Thanks so much Grace! :*

4. Would you still blog if you knew nobody was going to read it?

Yes, I believe I still would. Technically I never thought that anyone would read my blog for at least a couple of months but from the launch date I have steady readers!

5. Blogging – the future or a fad?

I think blogging is the present and the future! So many companies look to bloggers to advertise their products. You don’t have to be a signed model with an agency anymore. Technically blogging makes you become a “fashion model” no matter your age, size or look! It’s great!

6. What are the best things about your blog?

As I mentioned in question 2, I strive to be sure that my content is original. One thing that I love are the names of my posts! I love catchy phrases and fashion so all my quotes are fashion quotes or lyrics to songs and I tie it in with my posts. I hope that my blog takes off and I am known as the “tall blogger with the cool post titles”! Also I love COLORS! I love that my site is very colorful. From font to style, I want my blog to be a super, chic fashion website with eye appeal! All my posts are my own honest, personal thoughts and feelings!

7. Have you learned anything from blogging? If so, what?

Something I learned is to have patience! Blogging takes time and so I need to have alot of patience. I work full time and have a demanding job so to pace myself has been very important!

8. What kind of camera do you use to take pictures for your blog?

I use my camera phone -Samsung S4 Zoom which takes really good photos, but I mainly use my Canon camera!

9. What was the best mistake you ever made?

This one is a kind of a hard one in relation to blogging…  I cannot think of one at the moment

10.What would your top tip be to anyone thinking about starting up a blog?

Stick with it and don’t give up! Don’t expect to go viral overnight! Just be consistent and Stay fresh + FIERCELY you! Don’t ever change or try to be a blogger that you think your audience wants to see. They are following you because of you. Stick with your personal style and you will see yourself grow!
